Schumer calls for federal investigation into freight train
safety

The train derailment that shot flames into the sky and
forced evacuations in Oneida on Monday was pretty bad.
But imagine it in a more densely populated area. Kingston,
say, or Newburgh.
"That's the nightmare scenario," Kingston fire Chief Rick
Salzmann said yesterday.
