Our Plan
Our plan is simple: We wish to unify and inform as many affected communities as possible. We have a variety of strategies and will no doubt be developing more as our efforts continue. One successful method has been to voice our opposition through public demonstrations. We held our first rally in Otisville on June 15th right on Main Street. We are also displaying signs locally to raise awareness about our plight. Bumper stickers and shirts are in the works and will be made available to the public in exchange for small donations to cover our operating costs. Letter-writing campaigns have been started, and petitions are available at local stores and village and town halls. We have rallied the support of other community organizations that have written resolutions stating that NYRI's for-profit power lines are unnecessary and unwanted. We also have a group of approximately 50 active volunteers who inform residents of our concerns, delivering flyers to local homes. |
